If you ever use a rare font in your Word document, then you might want to think about embedding the font into your Word document. You can do that by going to File amp;gt; Options amp;gt; amp;quot;Saveamp;quot; and then at the bottom check the box which says Embed fonts in the file. After confirming everything with OK and saving the document, you can now share the document with someone who might not have the font installed on their computer, but since it is embedded in the Word document everything will look just fine on their end. To ensure the consistent appearance of your documents, having embedded fonts in PDF files is a standard practice that preserves the layout and style, regardless of the device or platform on which its viewed.
Embed fonts in Word or PowerPoint Click the File tab and then click Options (its near the bottom left corner of the window). In the left column, select the Save tab. At the bottom, under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, select the Embed fonts in the file check box.
Click File Info Manage Embedded Fonts. In the Fonts dialog box, select the font, and then do one of the following: To embed the font when the font has been set to not be embedded, click Embed.
Microsoft Word allows you to embed a TrueType font in a Word document so that you can view and edit the font, if licensing rights allow. You can do this even if you open the document on a computer on which the font is not installed.
To check that your fonts are embedded in docHub, go to File on the top menu and select Properties then select the Fonts tab, this will list the font used in the document. You want to check that they are either (Embedded) or (Embedded Subset).
Word can only embed fonts on your system that have been installed in the TTF format. If your font files are in the OTF format, you cant embed them in Word documents.
Open your PDF in docHub Pro. Go to File Save As Other Optimized PDF. In the dialog box, click on Fonts and ensure all your fonts are listed. Check Embed all fonts and then save your PDF.
Font embedding is the inclusion of font files inside an electronic document for display across different platforms. Font embedding is controversial because it allows licensed fonts to be freely distributed.
