Select Home Connector. Point to a shape until you see the connection points around the edge. Select a connection point and draw a line to a connection point on the shape you want to connect to. The connector endpoints turn green when the shapes are connected.
Go to Insert Symbol. Pick a symbol, or choose More Symbols. Scroll up or down to find the symbol you want to insert.
Insert a picture into a shape Click the shape for which you want to add a picture. On the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click the arrow next to Shape Fill. In the folder or location that the contains the picture you want to use, click the picture file, and then click Insert.

Add text to a shape Click Insert Draw Text Box . Draw a text box close to the shape. Click inside the text box, and start typing.
On the Insert tab, click Shapes. Click the shape you want, click anywhere in the workspace, and then drag to place the shape. To create a perfect square or circle (or constrain the dimensions of other shapes), press and hold Shift while you drag.
Modifying shapes Select the shape you want to change. On the Format tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the Shape Styles group. A drop-down menu of styles will appear. Select the style you want to use. The shape will appear in the selected style.
Hold Ctrl while you click each of the objects (could be many of them) so theyre all selected at the same time. On the Drawing Tools ribbon, in the Arrange group, click the Group button and choose Group from the menu. That combines all the selected shapes into one, which you can resize or move as you like.
