hi everybody scott cart here welcome back to my lab today i have for you a quick little video on autocad in particular a question that came to me from some of my students and how to import or copy in a title block from a template file into your current drawing [Music] okay welcome back so what we have here is just a plain uh blank file as you can see here we dont have anything in our layered tabs theyre now completely blank theres nothing nothing special here and so theres a couple ways that we could do this we could go into our template file and copy the border and the and the title block and the viewport and paste it in or the proper way to do it would be to import it directly and so how im going to do that is im going to right click on on my layout tab here and i want to choose from template then now itll take me to all of my template files and if you havent already created a template file i highly recommend that you do this because it makes it so much easier and cleaner to
