XPS is a file format created by Microsoft to print content to a file similar to PDF. It was originally introduced with Windows Vista. Yet, XPS never really gain popularity. It continued to ship with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, as well as Windows 10.

Microsoft XPS Document Writer comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and Windows 11, just press Ctrl + P to print/save an XPS file.
Add or Remove XPS Viewer App in Settings Click on Start Settings Apps. Click on Optional features. Click on Add a feature. To remove XPS Viewer, scroll down and click on XPS Viewer, and click Uninstall.
Open Printers and Faxes. Right click on the icon for the XPS Document Writer and select Delete.
Click the checkbox next to the XPS Services feature option to remove the checkmark. Click the OK button and wait a few seconds for Windows to disable the XPS Document Writer virtual printer and remove other XPS related services.
