Click the Meeting tab. Under Security, click the Waiting Room toggle to enable or disable it. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change. Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level.
Webex Webinars requires dial-in attendees to enter a numeric password, in addition to the mandatory access code. Site administrators can turn off this requirement. Sign in to Site Administration and go to Configuration Common Site Settings Options, Security Options section.
Since September 2022, Zoom requires that all meetings have a passcode or a Waiting Room enabled for accounts with a single licensed user, Pro accounts with 2 or more licenses, and Business accounts with 10-100 licenses. Meeting passwords (passcodes) are already enforced for all free accounts.
Once in your Zoom meeting, click on the Security icon. Step 2. From the Security menu, click on Lock Meeting. You can unlock the meeting by going back into the menu and removing the selection.
Webex sites automatically add passwords for all Meetings, Events (classic), Webinars, and Training sessions. Passwords protect against unauthorized attendance and strengthen the security of your meetings. Required password enforcement applies to the latest channel sites and to slow channel sites.
In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings. Click the Meeting tab. Under Schedule Meeting, click the Bypass the passcode when joining meetings from meeting list toggle to enable or disable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Disabling Password Protection for Future Recordings Select Settings from the menu on the left. Select the Recording tab from the top menu. Scroll down to Require password to access shared cloud recordings and set the toggle to disabled (gray).
To Remove the Password from a Recorded Meeting Select Webex Meetings from the top menu. In the left menu, select My Recorded Meetings. Find your recording in the list, and select the title; a new menu will open. Click Modify, then remove the check from the box for Password Protection and click Save.
