here I have a document the two other colleagues have reviewed for me Ive walked through the document and accepted or rejected the tracked changes and now I want to publish this document I can open up the reviewing pane just to make sure that I have no more remaining revisions another great way to make sure that you dont have any hidden comments or changes is to inspect the document go to the file tab click check for issues and select inspect document here I can choose to check for comments revisions versions and annotations Ill just remove the other check boxes and click inspect here I can see that no items were found so I can be sure that there are no hidden revisions here so now my document is ready for publishing

To delete the first or last n characters from a string, this is what you need to do: On the Ablebits Data tab, in the Text group, click Remove > Remove by Position. On the add-in's pane, select the target range, specify how many characters to delete, and hit Remove.
How to remove specific character in Excel Select a range of cells where you want to remove a specific character. Press Ctrl + H to open the Find and Replace dialog. In the Find what box, type the character. Leave the Replace with box empty. Click Replace all.
Depending on where you want to start extraction, use one of these formulas: LEFT function - to extract a substring from the left. RIGHT function - to extract text from the right. MID function - to extract a substring from the middle of a text string, starting at the point you specify.
How to remove characters from the right? Get the length of the text: =LEN(text) Remove n characters from the total length: =LEN(text)-n. Extract the left part: =LEFT(text,LEN(text)-n)
Syntax MID(text,start_num,num_chars) Text is the text string containing the characters you want to extract. Start_num is the position of the first character you want to extract in text. The first character in text has start_num 1, and so on. Num_chars specifies the number of characters you want MID to return from text.

To use the TRIM function, type =TRIM(text) into a cell, where text is the text string you want to trim. Excel will remove the spaces from the beginning and end of the text and return the results in the cell.

There are four ways to remove the last character from a string: Using StringBuffer. deleteCahrAt() Class. Using String. substring() Method. Using StringUtils. chop() Method. Using Regular Expression.
Select a blank cell you will return the text string without letters, and enter the formula =StripChar(A2) (A2 is the cell that you will remove letters from) into it, and drag the Fill Handle down to the range as you need.
