in this video im going to show you how you can get the date out of a field like this that contains both the date and the time and so the easiest way to do this is by actually just using the date function itself youll notice theres an argument for the year month and the date and the year also has its own function so what i can do is select this cell and its going to extract the year from here and then the same thing for the month function reference that and the day function the same thing so i closed that out and now ive got day month in the year in here but i havent copied over the time value of 1600 hours so i can copy this down and it goes all the way to the end now one way i can check to make sure that there hasnt been any time is i can use the hour function select this cell here and it shows you 16 so for 4 pm the hour function for this returns a value of 0 so there you can see that it did not transfer the hours or or any time and so if youre good with this what you can do

Secondments may be full or part time. Secondments should normally be for a period of two years or less. If the secondment is to be for a period of longer than 23 months, then the arrangement must be considered under the Fixed Term Work (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002.
Secondments, unlike promotions, are a temporary move between a current job to a new job. Promotions generally involve a transfer from an employees current status to a higher line manager position.
How to Request a Secondment. The key to requesting a secondment is making it clear to your employer that they will benefit from the new skills and experience that you will bring back to your role. A good employer will also want you to be happy and fulfilled in your work.
A secondment can allow an employee to gain experience in a different area; provide temporary assistance to the host employer, or may enable an employer to avoid redundancies by temporarily seconding employees to a busier part of the organisation.
Secondments should amount to a minimum of six months, and not exceed a period of two years.
The major difference between a temporary employment contract and a secondment agreement is the difference in security. Are you seconded? Then the secondment organization is your employer, so you have a contract with them. The duration of the contract is often longer term.
Secondment risks Secondments can give rise to confusion regarding who is the true employer of a seconded worker. If the parties involved do not clearly define their rights and obligations, unexpected liabilities may arise.
As a minimum, an effective secondment agreement should include: The length of the secondment. The nature of the seconded employees job role. The specific contractual obligations the seconded employee will be required to fulfil, and for whom.
Ending a secondment Exceptionally, if the secondee requests this, or if there is a business need, or if the secondee is underperforming in the role, the manager may consider an early termination of the secondment arrangement.
Support for internal secondments Approval of the individuals current line manager is required for a secondment to take place. Secondment opportunities should not be unreasonably refused by the substantive department, however support for secondments is not automatic and may not be possible in all circumstances.
