Simple and Clean Artwork Import your scanned artwork into docHub Illustrator and do an Image Trace (Object Image Trace). Check IGNORE WHITE box in the Image Trace Window (under Advanced). The white background will disappear. Once you are satisfied with how this looks, expand the object to finish (Object Expand).

To change the coloring of an Image Trace, you must first edit the colors of the image itself. Select the image and navigate to Edit Edit Colors in the main menu, then choose one of the available recoloring options. Once done, you can open the Image Trace panel and choose Mode Color.
Select artwork to recolor. Click the Recolor button in the Properties panel to the right, to open the Recolor Artwork dialog box. Colors from the selected artwork show on a color wheel. Drag one color handle in the color wheel to edit them all.
Preparing files for image trace Spend some time to optimize your images for tracing, so they can be processed faster and better and also its difficult to edit the result after tracing.
