Welcome to Space News from the Electric Universe, brought to you by The Thunderbolts Project at Thunderbolts.info In a recent Space News episode, we reported on two 2016 scientific studies that each serve potentially fatal blows to the hypothesis of dark matter. The first of these studies, reported in September of last year, found that the acceleration and the rotation curves of both spiral and irregular galaxies could be explained by visible mass alone with no Dark Matter necessary. Professor of physics and astronomy David Meritt says of the findings: amp;quot;Galaxy rotation curves have traditionally been explained via an ad-hoc hypothesis that galaxies are surrounded by dark matter. The relation discovered by McGaugh at al. is a serious, and possibly fatal, challenge to this hypothesis, since it shows that rotation curves are precisely determined by the distribution of the normal matter alone. Nothing in the standard cosmological model predicts this, and it is almost impossible to

Darkspace usually refers to the intergalactic void that exists between celestial galaxies. It may refer to: DarkSpace, a computer game. Darkspace, a Swiss ambient black metal band.
From inside our Solar System, zodiacal light prevents us from seeing true darkness. From billions of miles away, New Horizons finally can. This region of space, viewed first iconically by Hubble and later by JWST, shows an animation that switches between the two.
If youre in space, the night sky appears completely black because space is a vacuum, with no atmosphere to scatter light. Hence the stars are not visible and its just pitch dark.
The Botes Void has been often associated with images of Barnard 68, a dark nebula that does not allow light to pass through; however, the images of Barnard 68 are much darker than those observed of the Botes Void, as the nebula is much closer and there are fewer stars in front of it, as well as its being a physical
Looking toward the sun we thus see a brilliant white light while looking away we would see only the darkness of empty space. Since there is virtually nothing in space to scatter or re-radiate the light to our eye, we see no part of the light and the sky appears to be black.
Space is far from dark. It is filled with energy, even the coldest emptiest parts of it. That most of that energy is not within the spectrum visible to the unaided human eye makes it appear dark to us. The light we see on Earth is scattered by our atmosphere refracted in such a way that it appears to light up the sky.
Its difficult to know for sure, but there are some inferences that can be made. One astronomer attempted to answer how dark space is by collating the brightnesses of known stars and galaxies, and in the answer converges at a visual magnitude of 6.5, or 0.3% as bright as a full Moon.
