Obtaining letters of recommendation can be a hassle, but admissions committees highly value the third-party insight they provide. Therefore, obtaining strong letters of recommendation is a critical part of the application process. Strong letters of rec can tip the scales in your favor if a school is on the fence, whereas weak letters can lead to a rejection.
