In Workflow, the theoretical size limit is 2GB, but in reality with XML, it's much lower because the file needs to be mapped in memory and that can take as much as 10 times the size of the actual file. So I wouldn't recommend trying anything over 150/200MB.
With Excel Open MS-Excel and click File->Open. Browse to the location that has the XML file and click Open to open the file. A pop up with 3 options is displayed. Select As an XML table radio button. This opens and displays the XML file as an Excel table.
Solution: Make a copy of your XML file in case you need to start over. Open the xml file in any Text editor supporting Regular Expression Find/Replace feature. Open the Find/Replace edit window. Select the Regular Expression option. Find : [^&;:()a-zA-Z0-9" =./><_-~-] Replace with non special characters.
If you want to open an XML file and edit it, you can use a text editor. You can use default text editors, which come with your computer, like Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on Mac. All you have to do is locate the XML file, right-click the XML file, and select the "Open With" option.
Often times, the large size of XML structures is due to the fact that they are an XML representation of a database dump. There might be redundant or even useless information that you could discard with an XSLT transformation.
Very easy, indeed ! Open your file in Notepad++ Open the Replace dialog ( Ctrl + H ) Check the Wrap around option. Choose the Regular expression search mode. Fill in the regex (\\h*\\R)+ in the Find what: zone. Fill in the regex \ in the Replace with: zone. Click on the Replace All button.
Just use >= and <= .
Open an XML data file to import its data Click File > Open. ... In the Open dialog box, click the drive, folder, or Internet location that has the file that you want to open. Select the file and click Open.
Using Special Characters in XML Symbol (name)Escape Sequence> (greater-than)> or >& (ampersand)&' (apostrophe or single quote)'" (double-quote)"1 more row
To make an XML file smaller, one can remove unnecessary characters such as whitespace, comments, and line breaks. You could also use shorter element and attribute names, and remove any unnecessary elements or attributes.
