So this week, Apple updated the 14 inch and 16 inch MacBook Pros with a press release and an 18 minute YouTube video that featured a bunch of creators at the beginning, which was cool, and then basically a whole prerecorded event that kind of looked like it was cut out of another event. Matter of fact, its rumored that this basically was cut out of an event that they were rumored to have late last year. Honestly, I buy it, like the URL and the file name of the video had 2022 in them and the AR files for the new laptops were compiled in October, 2022, suggesting that these things were ready to go months ago. But whatever, none of that matters. What matters is theyre here now and what you need to know is on the outside, theyre basically identical, but on the inside, instead of M1 Pro and M1 Max, its M2 Pro and M2 Max, and a couple other tiny improvements also. Command-X: Cut the selected item and copy it to the Clipboard. Command-C: Copy the selected item to the Clipboard. This also works for files in the Finder. Command-V: Paste the contents of the Clipboard into the current document or app.
Choose Edit Copy (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-C. Note: If you want to remove the text from its original location, choose Edit Cut instead.
Copy and paste between devices from your Mac Copy on a device: Select the content you want to copy, then copy it. For example, on your Mac, press Command-C or choose Edit Copy. Paste on a device: Position the pointer where you want to paste the content, then paste it.
To cut and paste on a Mac, select the item you want to move, press Command+C, then press Command+Option+V to move it to a new location. You can also access the move command in the Edit menu once youve copied a file.
Its just like a cut and paste (its copy and paste with no duplicate). It is simply not possible because the keyboard shortcut for Cut (⌘X) is not enabled for filesystem items in Finder. Youll need to ask Apple why they have not enabled Cut (⌘X) for filesystem items in Finder.
Cut Press Command-X. Or choose Edit Cut from the menu bar. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Cut from the shortcut menu.
From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar. Click Transfer or Reset on the right. Click Erase All Content and Settings.
On the keyboard, press Command+X. From the menu bar, select Edit Cut.
