this video is about the receiver operating characteristic curve analysis also known as the roc analysis for medical diagnostic test evaluation this technique is used in continuous diagnostic test results versus a gold standard when we say continuous diagnostic test results the results of the test is in numerical form and then the gold standard would indicate whether the patient really has a disease or not if the test result for example is the white blood cell count and then letamp;#39;s say the gold standard is a classification whether the patient has leukemia or not it is a fact that a healthy person has a wbc count of about 4 to 11 times 10 raised to 9 per liter while patients with leukemia have elevated wbc count of 100 to 400 times 10 raised to 9 per liter now if the lab test results came in and it showed that your wbc countless is 120 times 10 raised to 9 per liter could the doctor say that iamp;#39;m sorry but i think most probably you have leukemia another example suppose that

AUC stands for Area under the ROC Curve. That is, AUC measures the entire two-dimensional area underneath the entire ROC curve (think integral calculus) from (0,0) to (1,1). Figure 5. AUC (Area under the ROC Curve).
The Receiver Operator Characteristic (ROC) curve is an evaluation metric for binary classification problems. It is a probability curve that plots the TPR against FPR at various threshold values and essentially separates the signal from the noise.
The Area Under the Curve (AUC) is the measure of the ability of a binary classifier to distinguish between classes and is used as a summary of the ROC curve. The higher the AUC, the better the models performance at distinguishing between the positive and negative classes.
In the field of pharmacokinetics, the area under the curve (AUC) is the definite integral of the concentration of a drug in blood plasma as a function of time (this can be done using liquid chromatographymass spectrometry).
The ROC of a perfect test passes through the left-upper corner of the unit square, the point where both Se and Sp are equal to 1 (a perfect test; the gold-standard). The closer a curve to this point, the better is a test.
The Cut-off value at any given point of time is calculated as Margin Available (Cash FNO) for cash segment * and 75%# of margin utilized for all your open MIS positions.
AUC stands for Area under the ROC Curve. That is, AUC measures the entire two-dimensional area underneath the entire ROC curve (think integral calculus) from (0,0) to (1,1). Figure 5. AUC (Area under the ROC Curve). AUC provides an aggregate measure of performance across all possible classification thresholds.
AUC can be computed using the trapezoidal rule. In general, an AUC of 0.5 suggests no discrimination (i.e., ability to diagnose patients with and without the disease or condition based on the test), 0.7 to 0.8 is considered acceptable, 0.8 to 0.9 is considered excellent, and more than 0.9 is considered outstanding.
