Open the status box in your Facebook profile. Click the GIF icon to search for and select a GIF from the GIF library. Once the GIF is selected, the GIF will attach to your Facebook post. Once youre finished with your post, click Share.
On Desktop: Use Upload to add content to your GIPHY channel. Choose media to add by dragging and dropping them into your Upload window, clicking choose file to browse your files, or entering a valid media URL. Learn more here about best practices for GIFs.

GIPHY accounts are free and let you upload to GIPHY, and save all of your uploaded and favorited GIFs in one easy-to-find place.
Enter the GIF Creation flow from the Create + button on the upper right hand corner of the home screen, or from the Create a New GIF or Sticker button in the uploads feed of the user tab. To Create a GIF or Sticker: You can Record a Gif or Sticker by selecting from the camera options along the bottom.
You cannot directly upload a GIF to your Facebook profile picture. Instead, Facebook allows you to set an animated seven-second clip as your profile picture that will keep getting looped thereby showcasing it as a GIF. But Facebook only allows you to do so on Facebooks mobile app.
Option #2: Use the GIF feature within Instagram Upload or take a photo and add it to your Instagram story. Click on the sticker icon in the upper right menu. Choose the GIF feature. The menu will show you trending GIFs or you can search for a GIF. If you want, add text, images, doodles, or effects.
On the GIPHY app: Download the GIPHY app and use the + to access our GIFMaker. Press hold on the shutter icon (O) to record a GIF. You will have the option to decorate if you choose. You can Add Tags to your GIFs, separated by commas (no # needed). Tap Upload to GIPHY!
