copying and pasting between files in vim is kind of a pain until you learn how to do it so heres a quick demo first thing that were gonna do is use vim to open up two files so we can you can open up a single file just by typing them than a space than our file name if you want to open up multiple files we do another space and then the second file name and if need be the third file name and so on in this case were just going to open up two files so her first file theres text 1 dot txt and you can see that in the top left corner most likely and so in this case all Im going to do is just get into insert mode and then type this is some text number 1 well save and then well use using : W and then well use : n to move to our next file which is texts to dot text get into insert mode this is also some text you back into command mode save and then from here hmm we can use capital n to go back heres text 1 : lowercase n while in command mode to move forward : uppercase n while in comman
