hi friends welcome back to the channel today i thought i would just share a very quick tip with you for getting text from a pdf into a word document so one way you can do it is to just use word to open the word document but sometimes you might just want a single paragraph and you dont want to have to deal with all the rest of the stuff thats there so here ive got a pdf its an old one of mine and we can see that its been split into columns and if we grab this paragraph and i come over i copy it into word then what we find is that it chops off at the end of each line from the pdf so weve got all of these carriage returns that we want to get rid of and so what we can do is we can come up here to editing and go to replace and what we want to do is we want to replace we want to put the little carrot sign which is on most keyboards shift in six and then a p and we want to replace that with a single space and when we go replace all what that does is it gets rid of all of those extra car
