If you use code-behind class files with . aspx pages, you can separate the presentation code from the core application logic (or code-behind). Right click on your solution explorer. Add New Item - Class File. Name the file as the name of your aspx eg: Default.aspx.cs. When it asks you the file should be in appcode click no. In your aspx in page attribute add AutoEventWireup=true CodeFile=Default.aspx.cs Inherits=Default
Copy and paste the desired aspx page using VS right click copy\paste. Rename aspx page using right click rename. Change Inherits tag at top of aspx page to the new name. (be aware - not all characters allowed). View Code. Change name of Class to match the Inherits tag in step 3.
