hello and welcome to this weeks question with Myanmars brining so this weeks question is how do I copy an entire sketch and use it again in the same par or in a different part okay so this clip into SolidWorks and have a look how you do this okay so I have a sketch here and what Im going to do is Im going to actually add this into or copy it into another part file so Ive got one loaded here what Im going to do is just open another file so go completely separate file here which is a very simple example is just a block okay Im just going to use the ctrl tab keys just to flip back into my other part and Im just going to go and select the sketch in a tree and then hold down ctrl and press C so all the commands in SolidWorks are very similar to those you get in Windows the other way you can do is go to the edit menu and then go copy here so now Ill copy down just can use the ctrl tab keys again and just flip back into my block Im going to select a face and Im just going to hold

Select the items you want to copy. Hit CTRL-SHIFT-C and then select the base point you wish to use for the items. Switch to the new dwg and hit CTRL-V. Move the items to where you wish to place them and left click.
