If you dont want your zipper to show, you have to buy an invisible zipper. An invisible zipper is a zipper with very fine teeth. Its sewn into a garment in such a way that it makes the zipper invisible, hidden in a seam. Invisible zippers are available in fewer sizes and colors.

The main difference between an invisible zipper vs regular zipper is the visibility. When sewn in correctly, the invisible zipper is completely concealed as the zipper teeth are on the underside of the zipper. A regular zipper has the teeth on the top of the zipper tape and so are visible when sewn in.
Sewing an invisible zipper requires the use of a specialized presser foot. Your home sewing machine may not be equipped with one which will require you to buy it individually.
One way to do so is by sewing invisible zippers! Invisible zippers are the perfect way to give your projects a seamless transition by hiding the zipper in a seam. All you need is your garment, invisible zipper, regular zipper and presser foot, fabric marker, pins and a ruler.
Key moments Open the invisible zipper. Lay the zipper right side down on an ironing board. Do the other side. Lay the fabric right side on the uncurled zipper and pin. Line up the edge of the fabric with the edge of the zipper tape. Sew a straight line right next to the zipper teeth.
If youre curious, heres what an invisible zipper foot looks like: A regular zipper foot is simple and easy to use and as long as your zipper tape is aligned properly, the stitch will slide through effortlessly. Pictured below, it is easy to use on other types of zippers as well as sewing piping or narrow trims.
CONCEAL is an invisible zipper where you can not see the element. It does not disturb the garments design so it is best suited for dresses and skirts. Also, the CONCEAL open-end zipper can also hide the open parts so it is recommended for the jacket where the open-parts need to be hidden.
CONCEAL Zippers Concealed (also known as hidden or invisible) zippers are coil zippers where you cannot see the elements because they are behind the tape. Normally, all that is seen is the slider. You might see this zipper in bags, pockets, formal wear, and other garments where a hidden seam is preferred.
