To remove a hyperlink but keep the text, right-click the hyperlink and click Remove Hyperlink. To remove the hyperlink completely, select it and then press Delete.
If you need to find and check hyperlinks in a Word document, heres how to do it: 1. Press Alt + F9 to display the link in all your hyperlinks.
When its not convenient to have Office automatically create hyperlinks in your document as you type, you can turn them off. Click File Options Proofing. Click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.
Easy Ways to Hide HTML Links Change the font color of the link to the same color as the pages background. You can also create a CSS class or ID for the link and change the display or visibility property to none.
For those who mostly print documents on paper, this is an annoying feature, but fortunately it can be switched off. If a text has been turned into a hyperlink, you can right click and select Remove hyperlink. If you do this, the blue color and underlining will also disappear.
Change the display or visibility. This may cause other elements of your page to move if they define their position in reference to your link. Changing your visibility to hidden will hide the link without influencing the page layout. Your code for this stage should simply look like: display: none.
Perform the Select all function by pressing the Ctrl and A hotkeys to highlight all the text in the document. Once youve highlighted the entire text, remove any hyperlinks present by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + F9 hotkey combination.
Some URL shorteners (including Linkly), have a function that will allow you to cloak a link. In this case, the destination is opened in an iFrame (effectively a webpage inside another webpage). The destination URL at the top of the page remains that of the link, and the final destination URL is completely hidden.
