On the Excel menu, click Preferences. , and then clear the Enable background error checking check box. Tip: You can also hide precedent and dependent tracer arrows once youve identified the cell that is causing an error to appear. On the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing group, click Remove Arrows.
To unhide, press Alt+W, U or click Unhide on the View tab of the ribbon.
Just select the cell or cells, then go to Home, and in Cells group, click Format. Then under Visibility, point to Hide\Unhide, and then click Hide Rows or Hide Columns. This will hide the Rows or Columns of the selected cell or cells.
Remove an outline Go to Data Outline Ungroup, and then select Clear Outline. Important: If you remove an outline while the detail data is hidden, the detail rows or columns can remain hidden.
Excel will draw arrows to show the cells that are affected by the value of the selected cell. If the cell has multiple dependents, you can use the Trace Dependents button again to trace the dependents of the dependent cells. To remove the arrows, click on the Remove Arrows button in the Formula Auditing group.
Right-click a sheet tab, and then click Select All Sheets on the shortcut menu. On the Home tab, click Format under Visibility Hide Unhide Hide Sheet.
Select the cell to which the arrow is pointing. On the Tools menu, point to Formula Auditing, and then click Show Formula Auditing Toolbar. On the Formula Auditing toolbar, click Remove Precedent Arrows.
Turn change tracking on or off On the Review tab, click Track Changes, and then click Highlight Changes. Select or clear the Track changes while editing. This also shares your workbook check box.
