now i started off over here and then after 18 years i moved to there i moved to the city and when i moved to the city i was fascinated by it i was interested in it as a place and how it functioned i was interested in how all of these people moved together in the same place worked together and played together now 30 years later and iamp;#39;m still fascinated by our cities and our place within them currently thereamp;#39;s 3.5 billion people living in cities and thatamp;#39;s predicted to grow to 5 billion people over the next 10 years thatamp;#39;s well over half the population of this earth now to give that some context thereamp;#39;s 56 million people living in cities in the uk alone compared to just 11 million in rural environments so the question that occupies my mind is where do we find the space for all of these people now with this increased pressure in our built environment this increased migration to our cities finding space has become more and more difficult espe

In many instances, an attic will not be considered a confined space because there is not limited or restricted means for entry and exit.
concealed spaces or voids are non-occupied spaces created by building construction. areas that are occupied or used for storage would not be considered concealed space. a concealed space is not visible, with limited or no access to it.
Concealed spacessuch as dropped ceilings, stud cavities, soffits, and raised access floorsare common in all types of construction.
Concealed Spaces Limited access to these areas by small access panels is allowed. An attic can be a concealed space if it is constructed and used as a concealed space as outlined in 8.15. 1.2. 1 of NFPA 13.
What is concealed space? not every- one knows. concealed spaces or voids are non-occupied spaces created by building construction. areas that are occupied or used for storage would not be considered concealed space. a concealed space is not visible, with limited or no access to it.
Finished attics have to meet certain coding requirements to be considered a legal and safe living space. Heres a quick summary of what most local building codes require: Floor Space: finished attic spaces should be at least 70 square feet. Width: the living space should be at least 7 feet wide or long.
In building science, the part of the home warmed or cooled by the HVAC system is considered conditioned. Thus when the insulation is applied to the roof sheathing (instead of the ceiling) the entire attic space becomes part of the conditioned home. The heating and cooling system now affects the attic space.
Such concealed spaces include attics, mansard spaces, under-floor spaces, under stages, under platforms or decks, and similar accessible spaces. Accessible concealed spaces are provided with access openings for maintenance of mechanical and electrical services.
