It is often necessary to comment out temporarily a region of TeX or LaTeX code. This can be done with the commands C-c ; and C-c % . C-c ; will comment out all lines in the current region, while C-c % will comment out the current paragraph.
If youd prefer your sections, subsection, and so forth to be displayed without numbers on the left side of the title, you simply add a * symbol to the command. (Note that section headings created this way will not be listed in the table of contents \tableofcontents.)
To hide all subsections, add \setcounter{tocdepth}{1} to the preamble.
For unnumbered sections, include an asterisk after section. \item \textbf{\emph{RQ a}}: {How effectively can we model different aspects of exploratory search such as knowledge discovery, creativity, exploration using implicit features extracted from the user search process to identify underperforming users?}
LaTeX. In LaTeX, unnumbered sections, subsections, and so forth can be produced by adding an asterisk to the sectioning command, as in this example.
To hide the file list or preview panes altogether, click on the thin panels at the side of the vertical divider bars. You can restore the file list and preview panels by clicking on the respective arrow buttons again.
Click the small triangle next to the line number of the chapter, part, section, or subsection label command to fold or unfold the code. This makes it possible to hide away portions of your code that youre not currently working on. You can read more about code folding at here and here.
To suppress page numbers from a sequence of pages, you may use \pagestyle{empty} at the start of the sequence, and restore the original page style at the end.
