Mike shows the simplest way to compress a folder of photos on Windows computers. No special software is needed, only takes two or three minutes. Make a new folder called "pics" to store compressed photos. Open folder with photos, select all with ctrl+a. Right-click, select "send to", then "compressed (zipped) folder". New zipped folder will appear with smaller file size than original. This method has been successful on multiple Windows computers but not tested on Mac.
