is it safe to use a logo without registering a trademark it is safe in some ways because if you are the first person to use it in a particular County itamp;#39;s safe in that county but if you have plans to expand throughout the country your common law trademark is not going to extend everywhere and by the way you get a lot of other rights when you register a trademark one of those is often you have the right to recover your attorneyamp;#39;s fees in the lawsuit not just the damage from them infringing your trademark rights so is it safe Iamp;#39;d say itamp;#39;s quasi-safe itamp;#39;s at least safe in the county where you operate but if you want Nationwide protection thatamp;#39;s where registered trademark is going to be important

The USPTO outlines very clear guidelines for what is acceptable in a logo application. The image you submit should be a JPG file, under 5 MB, with as little white space around the logo as possible. Additionally, the USPTO requests that the logo be a minimum of 250 pixels by a maximum of 944 pixels.
Drawings submitted to the Office must be made on paper which is flexible, strong, white, smooth, non-shiny, and durable. All sheets must be reasonably free from cracks, creases, and folds. Only one side of the sheet may be used for the drawing.
Scan a high-quality original. Use software to crop, resize, and adjust the image to minimize white space around the design. For black and white or color images, ensure dots per inch (DPI) of 300-350, and pixel range of 250-944 for both length and width.
Delete goods or services promptly if no longer in use File a section 7 request to delete these goods or services. You wont be charged a fee for deleting goods or services in this way between maintenance filings. Before you file any required maintenance document, carefully reevaluate your trademark use.
It is recommended that mark images have a length of no less than 250 pixels and no more than 944 pixels, and a width of no less than 250 pixels and no more than 944 pixels. Mark images should have little or no white space appearing around the design of the mark.
If your trademark has not published in the Trademark Official Gazette, use the TEAS Voluntary Amendment form. If your trademark has published but hasnt registered, use the TEAS Post-Publication Amendment form. If your trademark has registered, use the TEAS Section 7 Request form.
Drawing sheets must be on either A4 or 8.5 X 11 paper with the narrowest side on the top. Each sheet must have a top margin of at least 1, a left side margin of at least 1, a right side margin of at least 5/8 (0.625), and a bottom margin of at least 3/8 (0.375).
A: Trademark clearance is the process where you submit your desired trademark to the USPTO to determine if anything similar is already in use. If your trademark is too similar or the exact same as something that already exists, you can then make changes to ensure you arent copying another companys assets.
