Try it! Select the cell or column that contains the text you want to split. Select Data Text to Columns. In the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, select Delimited Next. Put your cursor on any of your selected cells and right-click on it. The following menu window will be displayed. Choose the Clear Content option, and all the data from the selected cells will be deleted.

If you clear a cell by using Clear All or Clear Contents, the cell no longer contains a value, and a formula that refers to that cell receives a value of 0 (zero). If you want to remove cells from the worksheet and shift the surrounding cells to fill the space, you can select the cells and delete them.
