Here is how to do that: Press the Windows + E keys together to open File Explorer. Go to C:\Windows\System32\winevt or C:\Windows\System32\config. Find the Logs folder and double-click it. Find the log items you want to delete or you can press the Ctrl + A keys to select all of them.

Doing some more research on cleaning up space on my C drive, and one article suggested that I clear out my event logs-is this ok to do? Yes, but it wont free much space. Youd be better off running something like Treesize and finding out what is taking up the space.

To choose a range of entries, you can press Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Then, click Clear Log from the right pane. Alternatively, you can right-click a folder like Application and choose Clear Log to delete all the entries.
How to clear the event viewer log: Open Event Viewer and select the Windows log you wish to clear. Right-click on the log and select Clear Log. Select Save and Clear. Browse to a folder where you want to save the log file to and click Save.
