we have already completed binary addition binary subtraction and binary multiplication in this lecture we will learn binary division we want to divide 1 0 1 0 1 0 by 1 1 0 and before this binary division we will first revise division of decimal numbers we want to divide 128 by 8 so this 128 is our dividend and this 8 is our divisor we will start our division from the leftmost digit and in this case we have 1 as the leftmost digit 1 is smaller than 8 so quotient is 0 8 times 0 is 0 and 4 remainder I will subtract this 0 from 1 1 minus 0 is 1 this 2 will come down and we have 12 12 is greater than 8 so quotient is 1 I will again subtract this 8 from 12 to get the remainder remainder is 4 now this 8 will come down so we have 48 and the 8 times 6 8 times 6 will give us 48 exact division and remainder is 0 so this is our answer the quotient of this division and we have to find quotient in every division now we will move to binary division and follow the same steps we will start our division

Remember that in binary 1 is on: and 0 is off. Choose the binary number that you want to decode. Give each number a value, starting from the extreme right. For example, using the number 1001001, 1=1, +0=2, +0=4, +1=8, +0=16, +0=32, +1=64.
Expert-Verified Answer The answer is 101110. Therefore in binary division 111111111/1011 is 101110.
In binary floating-point arithmetic, division by two can be performed by decreasing the exponent by one (as long as the result is not a subnormal number). Many programming languages provide functions that can be used to divide a floating point number by a power of two.
The key to reading binary is separating the code into groups of usually 8 digits and knowing that each 1 or 0 represents a 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128, ect. from the right to the left. the numbers are easy to remember because they start at 1 and then are multiplied by 2 every time.
Here are the steps for converting decimal numbers into binary: Step 1: Divide the given decimal number by 2 and note down the remainder and quotient. Step 2: Now, divide the quotient obtained in step 1 by 2, and note down the remainder again. Step 3: Repeat the above steps until you get 0 as the quotient.
How can i divide binary number 1101 by 111? Use the base 2 long division algorithm. The quotient is less than 10 because 111*10 = 1110 1101, but it is at least 1 because 4 digits is more than 3. Subtract 1101 - 111*1 = 110.
Just like decimal division, there are four key steps involved in the binary division. Divide the suitable digits of the dividend and record the quotient. Multiply the divisor by the quotient and write the product below. Subtract the product from the dividend and write the difference below.
Explanation: After we bring down the next 00 bit, the number 1010 so formed is not divisible by 101101. Hence, we put a 00 in the quotient. Therefore, the answer is 10121012 (decimal 55).
