Denatured alcohol and isopropyl alcohol are degreasing agents that work best as spot cleaners, removing surface soils that aren't affected by soap or detergent. Denatured alcohol and isopropyl alcohol will safely remove stains from many fabrics. Use to remove ink or sap. Do not use on acetate, rayon, wool or silk.
Hydrogen peroxide works differently than vinegar and is better at removing different types of stains. Hydrogen peroxide doesn't actually remove stains—it just makes them invisible! It breaks up strong chemical bonds in stains including ink, and in doing so it makes the stains colorless—but they're still there!
The short answer is unfortunately no, not all stains can be removed, and here are three reasons why. The longer a stain is left untreated, the less likely it is to be removed.
The best method for cleaning these delicate creatures is to rub them gently with a soft cloth – if this doesn't remove the dirt, then try using an old toothbrush with a weak solution of water and dish soap.
To clean a zipper with visible corrosion/salt damage, use a mixture of white vinegar and boiling fresh water along with a small brush to scrub the zipper in the affected areas. While you're doing this, it also helps to open and close the zipper if possible to make sure you are cleaning every surface.
Remove Yellow Dye Stains From: Cover the stain with a rubbing alcohol compress (dilute alcohol with 2 parts water for acrylic and modacrylic and pretest its effects). Let the compress remain for a few minutes, then wipe stain with a cloth dampened with ammonia.
Unfortunately for everyone, some stains are permanent. They simply become part of the fabric. Continued attempts to remove them will cause dye loss or fabric damage, known as chafing or fraying.
Step 1: Unzip item and use Zipper Cleaner and Lubricant's brush top to remove grit and dust. Step 2: Brush it generously onto zipper teeth to clean and lightly lubricate. Wipe off excess. Step 3: Carefully open and close zipper to thoroughly distribute Zipper Cleaner and Lubricant.
Spray with white vinegar, let sit for 20 minutes, and blot up. If the stain persists, apply a mixture of 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 3 tablespoons cold water. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with water and blot dry.
Take a cloth or sponge; wet it with isopropyl rubbing alcohol (do a bleed test on a small portion of cloth in a hidden spot first). Let it air dry and then rinse with cool water. Work in a liquid or powdered detergent and rinse again. Let it air dry and then launder as usual.
