75.464 Relocation costs of employees. (1) The move is for the benefit of the employer. (2) Reimbursement to the employee is in ance with an established written policy consistently followed by the employer. Reimbursement relocation packages allow transferees to pay for all moving expenses with the notion in mind that their employer will reimburse them with a specific amount of money after they have relocated. In doing this, a company covers most if not all moving expenses.
If you did not have an old workplace, your new workplace must be at least 50 miles from your old home. The distance between the two points is the shortest of the more commonly traveled routes between them. TIP To see if you meet the distance test, you can use the worksheet below.
