In the Photos app on your Mac, double-click a photo, then click Edit in the toolbar. Click Adjust in the toolbar. Do any of the following: Click the arrow next to Light, Color, or Black White, then drag the slider until you are satisfied with the look of the photo.
Turn Night Shift on and off manually On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click the Night Shift button on the right, then turn on Turn on until tomorrow. Night Shift remains on until the next day or until you turn it off.
Another simple way to avoid drop shadows in screenshots on Mac is to simply take selected area screenshots. Use the Shift + ⌘ + 4 shortcut and drag with your cursor to define the area you want to capture. This way you can frame any app window as well but the resulting image wont have any shadows.
Apple added a blue light filter for Mac OS in March 2017 called Night Shift. To activate the feature, go to System Preferences Displays Night Shift. You can choose to activate it between sunset and sunrise or specific hours, or enable it until the next day, or adjust your Macs screen color temperature.
A very simple solution to clean off any discoloration is to grab a Mars Plastic Eraser and get erasing. Weve done it to many computers when I used to repair them and it works like a charm.
You can remove the border and drop shadow by holding down the Option key while clicking. This lets you retain it when you want and disable it otherwise. The default macOS screen capture of a window includes a border and drop shadow (top), but you can easily change this for each capture or permanently (bottom).
Change your Mac displays color profile On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Open Displays settings for me. Click the pop-up menu next to Color profile on the right, then choose the profile you want to use.
Add a shadow In the Format sidebar, click the Style tab. Click the disclosure arrow next to Shadow, click the pop-up menu, then choose a type of shadow: Drop Shadow: Makes the object look like its hovering above the page. Contact Shadow: Makes the object look like its standing on the page.
If the display is black or dim: Try adjusting your displays brightness. If images are too large or too small: Try adjusting your displays resolution. If the colors dont look right: Try using the display profile designed for your display.
To adjust this setting or set a custom start and end time go to Settings Display Brightness Night Shift. On the same screen, you can schedule a time for Night Shift to turn on automatically and adjust color temperature. Android (most): Open the Settings app Display Select Night Light.
