hey guys Andrew Houston from proper contractors and I want to talk to you about a problem that I hear all the time and that I see all the time and thats quoting profitably I gotta tell you but 95% of the contractors have we talked to are not quoting profitably so before you quote another job please listen to the rest of this video okay so before we get into a couple of hacks that that most contractors miss lets talk about whether or not this is something that might be a problem in your company so lets look at the red flag yellow flag system so if youve got a roller-coaster ride going up and down your bank account you might want to look at this if you find that when you sit down with your accountant at the end of the year which by the way it should be more than that but if when you do or have youre not making them profits for all the energy and effort that you put in if you look at all the sales youve done its just like man wheres the hells all my money or you know you do a job

Is A Price Quotation Legally Binding? Yes, a price quotation is legally binding. However, the price quotation can only be considered legally binding if the party being offered the good or service (so in most cases, the customer) accepts the offer.
You should first write a detailed letter to the contractor about the problem and give the original contractor a reasonable chance to correct the work. You should then get one or more detailed written estimates from other contractors detailing the cost of completing the work in the original contract.
A quote is an offer to do a job for a certain price. If the customer accepts the quote, then there is a contract for you to do the work for that price. If there is extra work involved that was not covered by the original quote, you must have agreement from the customer to change the price.
A client can also accept a quote but still change or cancel the order anytime before the supplier accepts the order. For example, a builder sends a quote to a homeowner for a project to remodel their bathroom. The homeowner can then decline the quote and the builder can withdraw his offer.
Owners should understand that an estimate will not be a ceiling price unless incorporated into the contract, and should request details in order to understand what costs are not contained within the estimate and where costs might increase.
An estimate should be the contractors best professional assessment including the cost of hiring any subcontractors, internal labor, the price of materials, permit fees, general requirements (portable toilets, debris bins, fencing, etc.) and project overhead costs.
If you simply send a price quote to a client and they never actually accept or confirm it, it wont be considered legally binding. On the other hand, if you provide a written quote to a client detailing a job and they provide an electronic signature to confirm their acceptance, a formal agreement has been established.
14 days is the minimum cooling-off period that a seller must give you. Make sure you check the terms and conditions in case theyve given you more time to change your mind - many choose to do so.
