But the memory of the printer usually remembers only the last 4 cartridges So, if you are now inserting in succession 4 different cartridges, empty or not and, after that, the refilled one, the printer should recognise and accept it Take out the empty cartrisde you want to refill. Insert the first cartridge into the printer. Allow the printer to recognise the cartridge. Take the cartridge out, and insert the second cartridge.
