In this video, we will group an image together with a text box and a shape. In the first step, we click into the text box and the outer border of the text box will become visible. Now we select this border to leave the text editing mode and then we click on the text wrapping button in the top right corner. If you dont see this button, you will also find it in the Format tab. Here, we have to select any of the 6 text wrapping choices that fit best for our purpose. We just need to make sure that we dont select In Line with Text, because whenever the In Line with Text option is selected, the Group function will not be available for that object. In this example, Ill select In Front of Text. After that, lets quickly center the text box with the arrow shape. For that, we first of all go to the Home tab and center the content within the text box. Then we hold down the CTRL key on our keyboard and click on the arrow shape. Now both objects should b

Select the Insert tab, then click the Text Box command in the Text group. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Draw Text Box. Click and drag anywhere on the document to create the text box.
Understanding Text Box Outlines in Microsoft Word Text boxes in Microsoft Word are great for highlighting and organizing text. They provide a clear boundary, making the content stand out and easier to read. But, you may want to remove the text box outline for a more minimalistic look.
Provided you are still viewing the document in Print Layout view, you should be able to see any text boxes. If you still cant see it, it could be possible that the text box is formatted for no line and no fill and that the text it contains is formatted as hidden (and you have the display of hidden text turned off).
Click File Options Display, and then under Always show these formatting marks on the screen, select the Hidden text check box. Click File Options Advanced, and then under Show document content, select the Show drawings and text boxes on screen check box.
Adding text boxes Click Insert, then select Drawing from the drop-down menu. The Drawing dialog box will appear. Click the Text box command. Click and drag in the drawing area to create the text box. Release the mouse, and a text box will appear. When you are satisfied, click Save Close.
Click File Options Advanced, and then under Show document content, select the Show drawings and text boxes on screen check box.
It is likely the hidden caption is under one of your figures in a text box. On the Home tab activate the Selection Pane and use that to find the caption. Once you have the text box selected, you can move it, change its wrapping, or delete it and create a new Caption.
Delete a text box Select the border of the text box that you want to delete, and then press Delete. Note: Make sure the pointer is on the border of the text box and not inside it. If the pointer is inside the box, pressing Delete will delete the text inside the text box, not the box.
