I thought it was really interesting so I decided to make a video on decoding barcodes in binary before we start it helps to understand the definition of UPC the universal product code UPC is a barcode symbology that is widely used in the United States Canada United Kingdom Australia New Zealand in Europe and other countries for tracking products in store an important note is the barcodes and the UPC can have four different widths the thicker bar between two three and four times the width of the thinnest bar similarly the wider gaps between the bars are two three and four times the width of the thinnest gap hereamp;#39;s the barcode will be decoding and this is how the scanning Wan sees the barcode after it has been used to perform a scan so now what weamp;#39;re going to do weamp;#39;re going to decode this so this cleaned up a little bit so this is the barcode binary and the first and last P bits are always 1 0 1 this is known as the left and right and the fog thatamp;#39;

When you scan a QR Code with a reading app on your smartphone, the app decodes the information and presents it in a way that you can understand and use. For example, if the QR Code contains a URL, the reading application will decode this information and can take you directly to the corresponding website.
Thus, QR codes cannot be used to encode arbitrary binary data directly. The implication being that it would work if only we could fix those decoders so they stop trying to convert data to text.
The bars are used to represent the binary digits 0 and 1, sequences of which in turn can represent numbers from 0 to 9 and be processed by a digital computer. The presence or absence of a bar of a particular width in a particular position in a sequence is read by the computer as either a 0 or 1.
The simple answer is No. Mirroring a QR Codes or inverting it will prevent most barcode readers from being able to decode the image and extract any data from it.
QR Code File Formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF EPS | Explained.
To efficiently store data, QR codes use four standardized modes of encoding: (i) numeric, (ii) alphanumeric, (iii) byte or binary, and (iv) kanji.
There are permanent areas, such as the white and black squares at the corners and a binary line connecting those squares that should not be altered. Changing those areas may make the QR code unreadable. See this Wikipedia article on QR Code design.
Types of QR code The version used determines how data can be stored and is called the input mode. It can be either numeric, alphanumeric, binary, or kanji.
