There are no shortcuts as such but you can use a quick method of making a block quote. Simply select the text, and use Ctrl + ] or Cmd + ] to change the indent. Then place the cursor in the beginning of the text and add quotation mark using the keyboard. Repeat the same for the end of the text.
Here are the steps to do so: Click on the chart to select it. Click on the Insert tab in the ribbon. Click on the Text Box button in the Text group. Draw a text box on the chart where you want the subtitle to appear. Type the subtitle text into the text box.
Adding captions to Excel charts is crucial for helping readers understand the presented data. Captions can include a chart ID, a summary of findings, or confidence interval types. To begin, ensure there is ample space for the caption by adjusting the chart area.

I am using CHAR(34) to avoid unwanted double quotes when producing dimensional arrays, objects etc. via Google Sheets. Or maybe you had a different usage style than ours.

On the Captions dialog box, click AutoCaption, and then select the check boxes for the items that you want Word to automatically add captions to.
Traditionally, captions did not overtly state the main finding of the data being presented. Instead, a typical figure caption would only indicate the variables being discussed, for example, Scatterplot showing the relationship between X and Y.
