okay for today weamp;#39;ve got a learning intention of to understand how binary stores numbers and images weamp;#39;re actually going to look at images in particular so um last week we looked at how a pixel is used to make up a bitmap image and you very carefully drew your own bitmaps making sure that the whole pixel was filled if youamp;#39;ve done an outline we spoke about that thatamp;#39;s not how a pixel works you have to fill in the whole pixel okay so we did that last week now weamp;#39;re going to build on that and understand a little bit more about how the binaries involved in making that image so last week we talked about the original color super mario brothers on the nes today weamp;#39;re going to look at black and white images this is mario from the game boy which is a two color system you could only do green and black but weamp;#39;re looking at black and white either way itamp;#39;s two colors okay so weamp;#39;ve got this two color mario and you can see heamp

A Binary image is a kind of raster graphic image. Each pixel of the image can only one of two different values, usually black and white. For this reason, only one bit is needed per pixel. Most of the time, the value 0 is coded as white, and 1 is used for black.
The RGB triplet (11111111, 11111111, 11110000) corresponds to the color Vivid Yellow based on the hexadecimal representation of the RGB values. In the RGB color model, colors are represented by combining Red, Green, and Blue components, each ranging from 0 to 255 (or 00 to FF in hexadecimal).
The ASCII code for a blank space is the decimal number 32, or the binary number 0010 00002. Why do you think it is important to have a code for a blank space? 4.
In the RGB world, white is 255,255,255 and black is 0,0,0. It would seem you could just average out the three and determine if the result is closer to 0 (black) or 255 (white).
Black is 000 and White is 111. The remaining 4 colours are a mix of RGB yellow, 110, light blue = 011 and pink = 101.
Because black is the absence of all visible light. So thats why its at 0. And white is the presence of all visible light.
The interpretation of the pixels binary value is also device-dependent. Some systems interprets the bit value of 0 as black and 1 as white, while others reversed the meaning of the values.
This extra bit is called sign bit or sign flag which has a value of sign bit is 0 for positive numbers and 1 for negative binary numbers.
