What redacted personal data?

Redacting data means blacking out or hiding certain pieces of information. This can be done manually, by physically blacking out information on a document, or electronically, by using software to remove or hide information.

How do I black out text on a printed document?

You can also use a redaction pen or sharpie instead of cutting out the sections. Slightly less time consuming then cutting and shredding, however, still manual. Use opaque tape or paper to cover the redacted sections.

What information should be redacted from a check?

How to read blacked out text in PDF?

You can easily view blacked-out text in your PDF by following these steps: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Go to the Document menu. Click Examine Document. docHub will then scan the PDF and give you a checklist of items that you are able to remove by clicking on them. Choose the Preview button to see the hidden text.

How to black out sensitive information in PDF?

To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
