It could also be due to a heart attack. Fainting or loss of consciousness is a potentially serious situation and medical attention should be called for immediately. Dizziness, especially when standing up too quickly, is an extremely common symptom for people with heart failure.
The symptoms of end stage heart disease include trouble breathing, exhaustion, weight loss, changes in skin color, swelling, and abdominal pain all or most of the time. These can progressively worsen. Caring for someone with end stage heart failure may involve providing physical and emotional support.
These are the common symptoms of end-stage heart failure: pain. breathlessness on minimal exertion or at rest. persistent cough. fatigue (extreme tiredness) limited physical activity. depression and anxiety. constipation. loss of appetite and nausea (feeling sick)
Fainting spells can sometimes be the first warning sign of an undiagnosed heart disease. Heart conditions associated with fainting can include: Arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat, including bradycardia (too slow) or tachycardia (too fast)
Most commonly, a patient may experience shortness of breath, fatigue, problems with the hearts rhythm called arrhythmias, and edemaor fluid buildupin the legs. Symptoms may be mild or severe and may not always be noticeable.
Swelling, especially in the legs, ankles, and feet, is a common sign of worsening heart failure. Since the hearts pumping function weakens, blood flow can slow down and may accumulate in the veins of the legs and feet, resulting in swelling.

In fact, a fainting episode can be the first (or even the only) warning sign of a heart problem. Some heart problems that can cause fainting include: Cardiomyopathy: This is an issue with the heart muscle itselfwhich can be too weak, too enlarged, too thick or too stiff.
