How to redact a PDF on a Mac using Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. It looks like a filled in square. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
Open your PDF document with Preview. Navigate to the Tool menu and select Redact, or access the Show Markup Toolbar and click the Redact icon. A warning prompt will appear, click OK. Use your cursor to drag and redact the text with black marks. While editing, you can modify the redaction as needed.
Simply open your document in Preview, click Tools Redact and then select the text or image you wish to redact. Save and then close the document, and thats it.
There are a few ways you can redact the information you have in Word: 1) Both Windows and Mac users can use the Inspect Document tool to remove metadata, such as the author name, from a document, 2) You can replace the text you want to redact with another character, like x and black that out with formatting tools,
Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then do one of the following: Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact. Select the text or image in a PDF, and choose Redact in the floating context-menu.
Then, go into Edit Mode and follow these steps to select text or images and redact them. Select Tools Redact. Use the crosshair to draw rectangles over the text or images you want to permanently remove from the PDF. Optional: If you dont want a black box, select your preferred redaction marks. Click Apply.
Simply open your document in Preview, click Tools Redact and then select the text or image you wish to redact. Save and then close the document, and thats it. Once you have closed the document, the redaction cannot be undone.
In Preview, visit Tools - Redact. Then just drag the + cursor over the text you wish to redact after dismissing the warning dialog. No need to draw around the text with that misleading + cursor symbol.
