One simple way is to use a hole punch to make evenly spaced holes along one edge of the sheets, then thread them together with a needle and string or use binder rings. Alternatively, you can take them to a print shop for professional binding, such as spiral binding or comb binding.
Long Edge Binding means the finished book is a portrait. Short Edge binding means the finished book will be landscape. So for example, assume you have a 5.5 x 8.5 booklet. With long-edge binding, the flat side of the booklet will be 8.5 x 11 and the binding will occur on the 8.5 side.
Print your document by selecting Print from the File menu. From the third drop-down menu, select Layout. You will then be able to set Long-edged binding (for portrait layout) or Short-edged binding (for landscape layout) to enable Duplex Printing. Click Print to begin printing.
Here are a few ways you can do so: Use a comb binding machine. Comb binding is popular for a reason it is inexpensive and easy. Use screw posts. If you dont want to get a binding machine, screw posts are a great second option. Use a thermal binding machine. Use three-ring binders.
The Photo Album Binding Method is an intermediate-to-advanced level set of processes or steps by which a book block is created using tabbed dividers. These tabs allow the book to expand as photos are added without damaging the spine.
Look for a section that says Paper handling or Finishing. Somewhere near the selection for double sided there is a setting where you can select either Long edge or Short edge. Select the edge which the pages will turn over.
Short Edge means the pages are flipped or bound along the short edge of the page. Long Edge means the pages are flipped or bound along the long edge of the page. This could change depending on your page orientation.
Binding Edge hole punches or staples the print job by the long edge or short edge of the paper. Binding Edge applies only to paper that can accept finishing on both edges. To select Binding Edge options: Click Advanced Printing.
