On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Shapes. Under Lines, right-click the line or connector that you want to add, and then click Lock Drawing Mode. Click where you want to start the line or connector, and then drag the cursor to where you want the line or connector to end.
On the Format tab, select Shape Outline, and choose the color you want for the border. Select Shape Outline again. Use the Weight and Dashes options near the bottom of the menu to select the line thickness and style you want for your border. Drag the handles on the shape to size and position the border on the slide.
Select the shape or text box to which you want to add, change, or remove a border. Click Shape Format, and then click the arrow next to Shape Outline. Either click the color that you want, or mix your own color by clicking More Outline Colors. Point to Weight, and then choose the line weight that you want.
In the Home tab, select the arrow under the New Slide option. A drop-down menu will appear. Click Slides from Outline. In the Insert Outline dialog box, select the Microsoft Word document you want to use, then click the Insert button.
Go to Format Shape Outline, point to Weight, and then choose a thickness. If you dont see the Format tab, make sure youve selected the text box or shape. Note: If you dont see the thickness you want, select More Lines, and set the thickness you want in the Width box.
You can apply a border of your own choosing to a picture. Select the picture on the slide. On the Picture tab, select Picture Border. The menu gives you options for Color, Weight (line thickness), and line styleincluding solid and dashed lines. To remove a custom border, you can select No Outline.
Select View Outline. This automatically generates an outline and opens the Outlining tools: If your document has headings (any heading levels from H1-H9), youll see those headings organized by level.
Create a skeleton outline of your presentation by breaking down this main message into smaller parts. Use bullet points or headings to organize these bits of information. Think of the main points as the big chapters and the subpoints as the smaller sections within those chapters.
