Place your cursor where you want to insert a selection from the Quick Parts Gallery. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Quick Parts, and then click the sentence, phrase, or other saved selection you want to reuse.
To add a content control to a document in Word On the Ribbon, click the Developer tab. If the Developer tab is not visible, you must first show it. For more information, see How to: Show the Developer tab on the Ribbon. In the Controls group, click the icon for the content control that you want to add.
Insert the cross-reference In the document, type the text that begins the cross-reference. On the Insert tab, click Cross-reference. In the Reference type box, click the drop-down list to pick what you want to link to. In the Insert reference to box, click the information you want inserted in the document.
Insert a repeating section on a new, blank form template On the form template, place the cursor where you want to insert the control. If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click Repeating Section.
On desktop, click Shapes, in the Insert tab then select a line. Click and drag across the document to create it. Double click it to customize it. On mobile, click the 3 dots, then tap Home and select Insert. Tap Shapes to select a line and drag it across the document to create it.
To create a hyperlink: Select the text or object that you want to use as a hyperlink. Click the Insert tab, then Hyperlink. Complete the details for your link destination and click OK. Edit or remove a hyperlink: Select Edit Hyperlink or Remove Hyperlink from the shortcut menu.
The default is Bounding Box, which is a large box around the control; the alternatives are Start/End Tag, which displays graphical brackets around the field, and None, which makes the field content look like regular text or graphics in the document.
(Click the Show / Hide button in the Word toolbar to view paragraph marks.) To insert an existing clause in the template, position your cursor where you want the clause inserted and click the INSERT Field button. Then select the clause by clicking the Clause to insert drop-down button.
