In this video, were going to take a look at how we can use the iPhone to automatically fill in PDFs. This was introduced with iOS 17. Now before we get started, you do need to have the PDF downloaded to your iPhone. This will not work with any PDF that youve scanned or taken a photo of. You have to download it. So lets go over to my iPhone and see how this works. I have here in my files app, a PDF that Ive downloaded. Again, this does not work with PDFs that youve scanned. So I tap on it and then I have this PDF up here. This is a 1040 EZ form. For those of you who are not in the States, this is what we need to file with our IRS. So I tap on it and we have a number of fields. Im going to zoom in here. Youre going to see we have a number of fields up here that I can fill in. Well the iPhone will automatically recognize what needs to be in these fields. As an example, lets go over to my first name here.
