Create margin guides In the New Guide Layout dialog box, select the Margin option. Enter 0.278 in (or 20px) for the Top, Left, Bottom, and Right margins (the same value you specified for Column and Row Gutters). The columns and rows shrink to accommodate the margins.
There are a few different ways that you can edit a selected area in Photoshop. One way is to use the Quick Selection tool. With this tool, you can click and drag your mouse over the area that you want to select. The Quick Selection tool will automatically create a selection around the area that you have chosen.
In Photoshop, CTRL M is a shortcut for the Margin command. This command allows users to set margins for selected layers or groups. The Margin command can be found in Photoshops Layer menu.
Display or hide safe margins Choose Text View Safe Title Margin, Safe Action Margin, or Text Baselines.
In the menu, click on Photoshop and select Preference and General. The Preferences pop-up window will appear. Select Units Rulers from the sidebar in the pop-up window and adjust your ruler to inches, pixels, millimeters, or other unit of measurment you wish to use. Click the OK button when you are finished.
To set your printable area, press Command-P (PC: Ctrl-P) to bring up the Photoshop Print Settings dialog, then click on the Print Settings button, in the Printer Setup section, to bring up your OS Print (PC: Printer Properties) dialog.

To add a Selective Color adjustment, go to the drop-down menus at the top and select Layer New Adjustment Layer Selective Color. Or you can click on the Create new fill or adjustment layer icon under the layers panel and choose Selective Color. A new layer appears above your duplicate layer.
To restrict the effect of the adjustment layer to just one layer, right-click on the adjustment layer and select the Create Clipping Mask option. NOTE: This will create a clipping mask, which means that the adjustment layer will only affect the layer its clipped to.
Select Canvas Size from the Image menu. Put a check mark in the Relative check box. Select whatever margin you want to add to the document, such as . 5 inches.
