hi in this video were going to show you how to change the character spacing between words also known as kerning in microsoft word so lets say you have this document here and you really like this font but you think that the character is kind of close together you know its a condensed font after all so rather than change the font you could try changing the kerning to see if that makes it look better for you so to do that all you got to do is highlight the text you want to change then in the home tab on the font group click on the arrow here and then on the advanced tab youll have the character spacing sections and a little preview down here theres a scale setting if you want to play with that and kind of show you what it does there but thats probably not going to help you in this case so lets go back to the spacing so theres three built-in kind of settings here normal and expanded and you can see the preview here so we click ok then you can see how that looks compared to the orig
