Tags are keywords that can be assigned to data objects in an infoset. Data experts use them to label and categorize content so that they can easily cull relevant and related information. In IBM StoredIQ Insights, tags are organized in high-level categories called tag groups for easier management.
Document Tagging is the general process of adding extra information to documents. It includes static additions to the documents (for example, adding information from Eduction into the document) or more dynamic information (for example, marking a document for further analysis or workflow).
A tag is a way to identify something, whether it is content, an image, or something else. For example, a hashtag identifies a small piece of content on social media. On Instagram, a user can search posts with a particular hashtag, and all content with that hashtag will turn up in the results.
PDF tags make it possible to identify content as headings, lists, tables, etc., and to include alternate text for images. Without tags, none of these accessibility features are possible. Unfortunately, not all PDFs are tagged, and many document authoring tools are not capable of creating them.
An ad tag is a snippet of code inserted into a websites or apps source code that serves as a placeholder for actual ads. Ad tags are the driving force behind the ad tech ecosystem, and they facilitate seamless communication among publishers, advertisers, ad servers, and other platforms.
A tagged PDF includes hidden accessibility markups that, when properly applied, help to optimize the reading experience of those who use screen readers and other assistive technology (AT). Meticulous tagging is a crucial component of achieving a truly accessible PDF.
Tag: An individual field of data (i.e. Vendor Name, End Date, Start Date, etc.) Template: A grouping of tags into a sheet to standardize the information being input across documents, typically by contract type.
Tags is a file property (click File | Info and then click the option to show all properties). It is the same as Keywords which you can insert into a document via Insert | Quick Parts | Document Property.
