Hazards/dangers that may be present include: biohazards, chemicals, corrosive agents. fire, flammable liquids or gases, smoke or dangerous fumes. electricity, power lines.
The assessment will determine the risk classification of the worksite, which is then used to determine the first aid kits, first aid personnel and training that are required on the worksite. The first aid kit risk assessment needs to be reviewed annually and when business circumstances change.
The primary survey is a quick way to find out how to treat any life threating conditions a casualty may have in order of priority. We can use DRABC to do this: Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation.
