How to enable 2-step verification? Log in to My Sony. Scroll down to [Change Other Security Details], then click [Update]. Select Authenticator App from the PlayStation settings menu shown above and youll be presented with a QR code alongside a lengthy alphanumeric code. You can manually enter that code on the app side, but most authenticator apps I know of (including the Google option mentioned above) let you simply scan a QR code.
Select [Edit] for the security settings from the Account settings screen. Select [Edit] next to the 2-step Verification. Select [Authenticator App]. Use an authenticator app on your mobile device, and either scan the QR code or copy and paste the alphanumeric characters into the app.
