How to Add a Signature Date

This video tutorial shows how to add a signature line and a date line in a Word document. You can freely move the signature and date lines anywhere in the document. To add the lines, go to the Insert tab, click on Text Box, select Draw Text Box, type signature, press Enter, type date, and add colon and shift underscore multiple times to draw the lines. Remove the outer border by going to Format Shapes, selecting No Line and No Fill. Click Ignore to remove formatting errors.

Click the Tools tab at the top of the window. Choose Prepare Form. Select Insert a Signature Field.
From the All tools menu, select View more Add a stamp Custom stamps Create. Select Browse to choose a file you want to use as a stamp and then select OK. If the file has multiple pages, scroll to the page you want to use and select OK.
